Spirent Customer Service Center (CSC): How can I email content I find on the Spirent Knowledge Base to someone else?

Answer

There are two ways to do this:

Option 1 is useful when sending a link as part of an email with other content. For example, perhaps you have a long email with several steps and procedures-- this approach allows you to link to one or more KB articles that could further explain or highlight your email.

 Option 2 is slightly easier, and is best used when sending a link to a single KB article.
  1. Once you've found the article, make note of the DocID on the top right:
     
  2. Add the DocID to the end of https://docid.spirent.com/ and send that link as part of an email. In the above example, the link you would send is https://docid.spirent.com/FAQ15791
  3. Note that you can also copy the the URL in the address bar and use that as a link. The only potential drawback to this approach is perhaps sometime in the future the structure of the link may possibly change-- docid.spirent.com will continue to work, as we can recode it to the new structure. There are no plans to make a change to this link structure, and any change would be strongly avoided unless there was no other way.

FYI: if you're signed in and send a link to an article that is only available after login, the recipient that clicks the link will be asked to login first before being shown the article.
  1.  FInd the article you're interested in sending, then click/tap the "Email Article Link" button near the top right of the article:
  2. This will open up a new email in your email program and allow you enter the To email address, and add comments or updates to the email before you send it.
